Chaitali Kalwankar – The Topper among BMC Girl Students

We feel proud to share that Chaitali Kalwankar, our students from Rajawadi Municipal School topped all girls students studying in BMC schools by scoring 92.91% marks in the SSC Exam held in March 2013. She is also a second ranker amongst all BMC students.

Chaitali commenced her academic program with Each One Teach One in 8th Std. as a shy, unconfident child. But EOTO saw a lot of potential in her. EOTO’s teachers supported her in all possible ways to excel in academics and within one year a lot of changes can vividly be seen in her. She began to mix with others. She started answering questions confidently and took part in all EOTO's activities.

Chaitali hails from a low income group family. Her father works on daily wages as a plumber and mother is a housemaid.

She wishes to study further in commerce stream & make a career in banking.

EOTO organizes Global Handwashing Day (GHD)

EOTO organizes Global Handwashing Day (GHD)

15th October, 2012
Global Handwashing Day (GHD) is a campaign to motivate and mobilize millions around the world to wash their hands with soap. It takes place on October 15 of each year. The campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of hand-washing with soap as a key approach to disease prevention. The theme for Global Hand washing Day’s inaugural year was Focus on School Children. The members pledged to get the maximum number of school children hand washing with soap in more than 70 countries.

On this occasion Each One Teach One Charitable Foundation along with Shangri-La Hotel organized an awareness program in Shishuvihar School, Dadar in their assembly hall. Shangri-La Hotel installed 6 soap dispensers in the washrooms of the school and also demonstrated to the 250 school children and their teachers “how to wash hands”.

The purpose of the program was to create a healthy habit in the children contributing to their health.
